  • 1. Fees: Non-refundable application fee of Rs. 5,000/-. Fee waived for Women Entrepreneurs, Divyang, SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen, and aspirational district applicants.
  • 2. Profit Margin: PMBJK Kendras earn a profit margin of 20% to 30% on generic medicines.
    • For example, if the monthly sales are Rs. 1,00,000, the profit can range as follows:
    • At 20% profit margin: Rs. 1,00,000 × 20% = Rs. 20,000 profit per month.
    • At 30% profit margin: Rs. 1,00,000 × 30% = Rs. 30,000 profit per month.
  • 3. Shop Space Requirement: Minimum 120 sq. ft. of commercial space in a viable location, ensuring accessibility for customers and visibility in high foot traffic areas.
  • 4. Education Requirement: A qualified pharmacist or an individual with basic pharmacy knowledge is required to operate the Kendra and ensure safe dispensing of medicines.
  • 5. Subsidy:
    • Financial support from the government is provided for initial setup and stocking of medicines, reducing the upfront cost for the entrepreneur.
    • Incentive for Kendra Owners: PMBJK Kendras can receive monthly incentives of up to Rs. 15,000 for their performance. The total incentive can go up to Rs. 5,00,000 based on performance and sales.
  • 6. Government Certification: PMBJK stores are government-certified, ensuring credibility and increasing customer trust, which is essential for attracting customers.
  • 7. Additional Incentives: Kendras can receive additional incentives for meeting sales targets, achieving higher customer satisfaction, or exceeding certain performance metrics. These incentives can increase profits beyond the regular margin.
  • 8. Range of Medicines: Over 1,000 generic medicines are available at affordable prices, covering a wide range of therapeutic categories. This ensures consistent demand, keeping the Kendra's sales steady and growing.

Non-refundable application fee of Rs. 5,000/- is to be deposited along with the application form. Application fee is not applicable in case of applicant belonging to the category of Women Entrepreneurs, Divyang, SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen & any Entrepreneurs of Aspirational Districts notified by NITI Aayog, in Himalayan, Island Territories and North - Eastern States.
